Sculpture

Since 2005 I got to see some very interesting work from the Sculpture students. Most had been coming for some time and my involvement was mostly one of providing technical advice about the handling and treatment of clay, with occasional forays into anatomy, use of wax and discussions on casting. The life models I used were all well-trained and could be relied on for their cooperation over poses. This page is a condensed version of the original data (see my blogspot site).
The two left-most pictures below are sculptures by Annie Barclay, the right-most one by Janet Hill.

Sue Kochalski; the centre frame shows a small horse head, the right-hand one is a horse relief moulded and carved in clay, then cast in resin bronze.  It was given a bright metallic finish.
